Annual billing works out to two months free, which the page describes as a saving of up to 17%. The allowance is monthly on both billing periods. An annual plan does not hand you twelve months of credits at once, and unused credits do not roll over.

What the Free plan includes and where it stops

CraftMyPDF is free to use at low volume: the Free plan gives 50 PDFs or images a month and 3 templates, with no credit card required. It includes the drag-and-drop editor, the REST API and the Zapier, Make.com and Bubble.io integrations, so a real workflow can be built and tested before paying.

The Free plan leaves out four things that the pricing table lists for paid tiers:

  • A Data Processing Agreement, which starts on Lite.
  • Vendor support. The support row is blank for Free, shows email support on Lite, and adds live chat from Plus.
  • Teams, Bring Your Own Storage (your own AWS S3 bucket) and PDF password protection, which all start on Professional.
  • Priority support with Zoom calls, which is listed for Premium and Business.

If you only need to confirm that a template renders correctly, 50 documents is enough. Our CraftMyPDF review covers what the editor does with that allowance.

How credits are counted, and why there is no overage charge

One generated PDF costs one credit, whatever its page count. The pricing FAQ lists the other charges: an e-signature request uses 10 credits, a watermark uses 0.5 credit, and other PDF operations such as adding text or merging use 0.5 credit per API request.

CraftMyPDF does not publish a per-document overage price. The vendor emails you when usage reaches 80% of the monthly credits and again at 100%, and states that plans are never upgraded automatically. To get more volume you log in, open the Subscription page and pick a larger plan. That protects you from a surprise bill, but it also means a busy month needs someone watching the inbox. Plan for it in your handling of failed generations.

Worked cost example: 2,000 reports a month with signatures

Take a small team that generates 2,000 PDF reports a month from 8 templates.

  1. Volume alone: 2,000 credits. Lite (1,200) is too small, so Plus at $49 a month fits, with 1,000 credits spare.
  2. Templates: 8 templates is over the Lite limit of 6 and inside the Plus limit of 15. Plus still fits.
  3. Add 150 e-signature requests: 150 x 10 = 1,500 credits. The total is now 3,500, which is over the Plus allowance of 3,000.
  4. The next step up is Professional at $99 a month, or $990 a year, with 12,000 credits and 50 templates.

So the same team pays $49 or $99 a month depending on one feature. At full use, the plan prices divide out to about 2.4 cents per PDF on Lite, 1.6 cents on Plus, 0.8 cents on Professional and 0.3 cents on Business. Run your own numbers with the workload cost method before choosing a tier.

Cancellation and refund terms

You can cancel yourself from the Subscription page, under Manage Billing. Canceling stops the next renewal. The plan and its monthly credits stay active until the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds are not automatic. The Terms of Use say that canceling does not bring a refund, and that individual requests may be considered case by case at the company's discretion. That matters most on annual billing, where up to $4,990 is paid up front. Payments are handled by Stripe, and the vendor says it does not store card details.

Which CraftMyPDF plan fits, and when to look elsewhere

  • Free: testing one or two templates end to end.
  • Lite or Plus: a single developer or small team under 3,000 documents a month with no need for shared access.
  • Professional: the first plan for teams, your own S3 storage or password-protected PDFs.
  • Premium and Business: 40,000 to 150,000 documents a month. Above that, the vendor asks you to email for volume pricing.

If you want usage billed per extra document instead of jumping a whole tier, or your templates are HTML rather than a visual layout, compare the options in our CraftMyPDF alternatives guide.
